{"id":29169,"date":"2024-01-09T16:47:02","date_gmt":"2024-01-09T15:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.promotiv.si\/minimum-wage-increase-for-2018\/"},"modified":"2024-01-09T16:47:02","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T15:47:02","slug":"minimum-wage-increase-for-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.promotiv.si\/en\/minimum-wage-increase-for-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Minimum wage increase for 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>The minimum salary for full-time work from January 1, 2018 is 842.79 euros (gross).<\/b><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2018, the minimum wage will be 4.7 percent or 37.83 euros higher than the minimum wage in 2017 (804.96 euros).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the Minimum Wage Act, the amount of the minimum wage is adjusted at least once a year to the increase in consumer prices. To harmonize the minimum wage, the official data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia on the year-on-year growth of consumer prices in December of the previous year compared to December of the previous year is used. The law also defines other criteria that, in addition to the rise in the prices of consumer goods, can be taken into account when determining the minimum wage, namely wage trends, economic conditions, i.e. economic growth and employment trends.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The newly determined amount applies to work performed from January 1 onwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minimum wage structure<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minimum wage already covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the employee&#8217;s basic salary for a given month;<\/li>\n<li>the part of the salary for work performance and the allowances that belong to it, except for the allowance for work over full working time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, three allowances are exempted from the minimum wage: allowances for work in special working conditions, resulting from the distribution of working hours. They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>allowance for night work,<\/li>\n<li>supplement for work on Sunday and<\/li>\n<li>supplement for work on holidays and days off according to law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is also not possible to include in the minimum wage reimbursements of costs that the employer has to pay according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pisrs.si\/Pis.web\/pregledPredpisa?id=ZAKO5944\">Act on Employment Relations<\/a> obliged to pay the worker.
