Type of account and performance of activities and reporting of data in RTR
On July 1, 2018, Chapter 11 of the Act on Payment Services, Services Issuing Electronic Money and Payment Systems (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 7/18, 9/18, hereinafter: ZPlaSSIED), which in The sixth paragraph of Article 192 stipulates that transaction account holders, who are natural persons, provide payment service providers who manage transaction accounts with the information that the transaction account is also used for the purpose of public and free access to data in the Register of Transaction Accounts (RTR) for carrying out activities, namely before they start using transaction accounts for carrying out activities.
Even natural persons who already use a transaction account to carry out activities must notify the payment service providers that manage their accounts by July 1, 2018. In connection with the above, there are also criminal provisions for a misdemeanor with the payment of a fine between EUR 500 and EUR 5,000. Supervision over the implementation of the aforementioned provisions is the responsibility of FURS.
